ARTIFACT:

This is a framed portrait of the Class of 1897 from Portsmouth High School (Portsmouth, New Hampshire). The class, which is just over half female, is shown seated on steps in front of a double door entranceway.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1897.

SIZE:

Approximately 11-15/16" in height and 13-15/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Glass wood, photograph, paper mat, paper backing, wire.

ATTACHMENT:

Two eye hooks with wire.

MARKINGS:

PORTSMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1897 written on back, Framing Alternative label.
