Description
This is a great circa early 1920s Prohibition Office badge, used in New England, most likely in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. This badge could never have been a very welcome sight to citizens during the thirteen long years that our nation outlawed alcohol. The badge is oval and is finely engraved along the border.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1920's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" in height x 2-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The badge has some light abrasions and is much finer in-hand. The original pin appears to have bee re-soldered onto the badge at some point during the period of wear.
