Description
This is a great "salty" circa early 1920s United States Marine Corps officer undress EGA cap badge in "The Beast" variation. This eagle, globe and anchor by Gemsco, although it has no maker mark. The continents on the globe are very raised and the rope makes a nice wide loop out around the anchor.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blackened brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing (no stabilization post).
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The EGA shows areas of light to medium wear and tarnish; small nick to backing.
