This is a wonderful circa 1939 SS visor cap eagle in silver-plated brass. The SS, short for Schutzstaffel, was Hitler's unit of elite security guards. The eagle is marked on reverse with the SS sig runes and an RZM 155/36 mark. The very lightweight eagle is carrying a wreathed swastika in his talons.
VINTAGE:Circa 1939.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Bendable prongs.
MARKINGS:SS rune, RZM 15 5/36 mark.
