Great circa 1900 Old West “Stock” City Marshal 6-point Ball Tip Star Badge with Lead Filled Tips

ARTIFACT:

This is a Great circa 1900 Old West “Stock” City Marshal 6-point Ball Tip Star Badge with Lead Filled Tips.

The badge has a nice presence at 2-5/8” in height x 2-1/4” in width, has profuse embellishment on the obverse, and has ball tips on the 6 points of the star. And, as an added bonus, the ball tips were filled with lead to round them out, and to give the badge more width, and slightly more presence, when worn. It has nice light wear on the obverse, with a bit more on the reverse, where one of the lead fills has come out of one of the ball tips over the years, which all adds character.

Approximately: 2-5/8” in height x 2-1/4” in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated nickel with brass findings.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
