Great Ca. 1942 US Homefront National Youth Administration (NYA) Defense Worker Celluloid Badge

This is a large circa 1942 celluloid NYA Defense Worker badge for the National Youth Administration (NYA), established under Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal. The NYA provided job training and camps to qualified American male and female citizens ages 16 to 25 from 1935 until 194The war caused the NYA to shift to having a Defense Program oriented goal over time. The badge is red, white and blue.

Circa 1942.

Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.
