ARTIFACT:
This is a pre-Prohibition beer mug for Robert Smiths Brown Stout. The stout was brewed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 1896 until the infamous year of enforced national temperance (1920). The pale green mug was made by Chester Hotel China, and is marked on the bottom.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900s.
SIZE: Approximately 3-15/16 in height and 2-15/16 in diameter (at base).
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: China.
ATTACHMENT: Handle.
