Great ca 1900 Old West EXCAVATED Circle Star Deputy Sheriff Badge NSDB Nevada

This is a great old circa 1900 Old West EXCAVATED Circle Star Deputy Sheriff Badge NSDB. The center of the slightly convex badge reads: "N. S. D. B.", most likely for the Nevada State Detective Bureau and surrounding it reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" with nice stamped embellishments. The Nevada State Detective Bureau was founded in 1904 in the famous Old West Gold Mining Town, Goldfield, Nevada.

3+ (Good+): The badge shows heavy wear and loss of nickel plating, there is separation of the pointed tips of the star to the surrounding circle, some of the plating details remain intact.
