What we have here is a great, circa 1900 Amogerone Fire Company #1 Lapel Badge from Greenwich, Connecticut. The center of the badge is from an Indian Head penny encircled by a fire hose that reads: "AMOGERONE" in letters along the top that are filled with "Jeweler's Black". Amogerone Fire Company is the oldest fire company in Greenwich, CT., founded in 1876.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately: 13/16" in height x 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper and nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical 'T' pin with 'C" style catch.
