Description
This is a 1934 Nazi tinnie commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the victory at Tannenberg. Tannenberg was an early battle during World War I in which the German 8th Army took on the Russian 1st and 2nd Armies. The week-long engagement was absolutely devastating to the Russian 2nd Army. The tinnie is very graphically bold with block lettering encircling a swastika.
VINTAGE:Circa 1934.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped tin/brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:HM (?) scratched on reverse.
