ARTIFACT:
Great 1930's ??? WWII Portsmouth, New Hampshire Navy Yard Police breast badge. The sunburst-like center displays a nice, enameled Great Seal of the United States and surrounding it reads: "NAVY YARD PORTSMOUTH, N.H.". The badge is topped with a spread-winged eagle and below reads: "POLICE". The reverse shows the stamped number: "160" and the locking mechanism on the catch is missing.

Approximately 2-1/8" x 1-3/4"

Chrome plated brass, enamel
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with come under catch, locking mechanism is missing
MARKINGS:
"106" stamped on reverse

CONDITION:
7 (Very Fine): The badge shows minor to moderate wear mostly to edges, locking mechanism in catch is missing, much of the chrome plated and enameled details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
