Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great 1930's - 1940's "VOTE INDUSTRIAL UNIONISM" celluloid badge promoting the CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations) over the AFL as both union federations were in competition of members between the 1930's and 1956 during their merge. This pin would likely have been worn during union elections when AFL unions were seeking new members. The UAW organized everyone in the plant, thus its 'industrial union' structure.
