Description

ARTIFACT:

Great circa 1920's Sonoma County, California Prohibition era Deputy Sheriff badge by Edward Jones & Co. The reverse shows that the badge once belonged to Elmer Douglas Bills and was worn by him from 1919 – 1926, and he became Sheriff in 192The shield shaped badge reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF SONOMA CO." in black detailed lettering. This nickel badge appears to have been chromed during the period of use.

Vertical safety style pin with "C" type catch, saddle

7 (Very Fine): The badge shows moderate wear, chromed during period of use, much of the black painted and chrome plated details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
