Description
This is a great circa 1920s saddle blanket badge for the First Cleveland Cavalry (Troop A, 107th Cavalry) of the Ohio National Guard. Troop A, or the "Black Horse Troop", was started as a military group independent of the militia in 187 The troop served in World War I as a United States Army field artillery unit, and after the war rejoined the Ohio National Guard. The badge has a great patina.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Plate backing, three screws (two with washers).
MARKINGS:None.
