Great 1920 US Naval Academy USNA Annapolis Women's Compact in Sterling Silver by Foster & Bailey

Description
This is a 1920 United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, woman's compact in sterling silver. The compact has the class emblem or "pin" on the front in gilt sterling silver, composed of an eagle, liberty bell, crossed swords and a trident. The reverse bears the engraved initials ARK. The compact is considered a Finger Compact because of the ring and chain attached to it, so it could be worn on / carried on one's finger. It was made by Foster & Bailey of Providence Rhode Island. This company seemed to have carried the contract for these compact for a number of years in the 1910's / 1920's.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" diameter (compact), 9/16" height and 6-3/4" length (including chain).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with some gilding.
ATTACHMENT:Linked chain with finger ring.
