ARTIFACT: This is a Gorgeous HEAVY Ca 1921 US Air Service Airship Pilot Wing.


The wing is not Maker Marked, and we originally pointed out that it could be a Meyer made wing. 

New evidence has come to light proving that this wing was in fact made by the M. C. Lilley Company of Columbus Ohio. 


VINTAGE: Circa 1921.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/8" in length x 7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver Plated Nickel, or possibly even unmarked silver.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking catch, converted from Come-under TYPE Tiffany Style Locking Catch..

MARKINGS: N/A

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent+ ): The wing shows nice age patina, and is in wonderful condition.
