Description
Gorgeous early WWII United States Army Air Forces China Air Task Force (CATF) CBI-made should patch in silk, bullion, and tinsel on woven wool with a silk backing. The patch depicts a winged tiger beneath a bullion star with a red center and the high-relief, detailed embroidery makes the tiger appear almost 3-dimensional. The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers") and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force.
