This is a circa World War I French-made United States Air Service insignia: a winged propeller. It is very lightweight and has a chunky, rounded design.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:About 1" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Air Service collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAJL93 LIEX 6/10
CONDITION:6- (Fine): The insignia has seen heavy wear and is quite tarnished.
