ARTIFACT: Beautifully framed, autographed photo, signed document, and Royal Flying Corps hat badge of 1st American to become an Ace, Captain Frederick Libby, M. C. Captain Libby served with the Royal Flying Corps as an observer and pilot eventually scoring 24 kills! The center displays the hat badge and a plate that reads: "CAPT. FREDERICK LIBBY, M. C.", "ROYAL FLYING CORPS", "FIRST AMERICAN TO DOWN FIVE AIRCRAFT", "TOTAL CONFIRMED VICTORIES IN WWI – 24", "10 OBSERVER", "14 PILOT", "1892 – 1970". The bottom of the frame contains Captain Libby's application for membership in the Fighter Aces Association, it is dated "MARCH 30th, 1962" and signed by Captain Libby.
