Fantastic, huge, WWII United States Army Air Forces 36th Fighter Squadron, 8th Fighter Group, 5th Air Force Australian-made jacket patch. Known as the "Flying Fiends" the unit was island hopping in the Pacific in WWII flying P-39s, P-38s, and P-40 fighter aircraft.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII
SIZE:Approximately 6-3/4" x 5-1/4"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Embroidered wool felt, cotton/polyester/silk threads, canvas

CONDITION:8 (Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear, a few small moth nips, overall excellent condition.
