ARTIFACT: This is a fabulous circa 1942-1943 United States Army 5th Armored Division Military Police platoon badge. The 5th Armored, also know as "Victory", was activated October 10, 1941 and deployed to the United Kingdom in February 1944. They took Le Mans a scant two weeks after landing on Omaha Beach, and was instrumental in many other maneuvers, both in France and Germany. The badge is quite substantial and is numbered 49. It is in the 1930s style with "blue" chrome plating.

VINTAGE: Circa 1942-1943.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.
