ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare early war Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) War Training Service Instructor wing in mint condition. This is the Write Flyer Type of wing made in early WWII, ca 1942, and quickly replaced with the much more common Indian Head design, this wing is extremely hard to find.

VINTAGE: Circa Early WWII

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" x 3"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Lacquered Sterling Silver

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with locking over-under swivel catch

MARKINGS: "CIVIL AERONAUTICS ADMINISTRATION WAR TRAINING SERVICE. PAT. PEND. STERLING."

CONDITION: 10- (Near Mint): Nearly 100% of the lacquer is intact and there is hardly any wear at all from the short time it was in use.
