Description
This is an extremely rare and beautifully executed World War I United States Marine Corps aviation helmet fresh out of a western New York VFW hall! The helmet is painted with a great eagle, globe and anchor logo front and center. The helmet has a leather chin strap and an inner wool and leather liner with a twine mesh net. A tag inside the helmet reads TIGHTEN CORD AND ADJUST NET TO FIT THE HEAD

SIZE:Size 7-1/8.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted steel, leather, plated brass, twine mesh, wool, paper.
ATTACHMENT:Leather chin strap with buckles.
MARKINGS:7A241 inside rim; 7 1/8 on strap (inner).
