This is an extremely rare circa 1928-1929 service or lapel pin for Universal Air Lines System, a company that flew between many major Midwestern cities in the late 1920s. The pin in sterling silver and has a great Art Deco logo of an armless man with a pair of sleek wings upon his slightly arched back.
Approximately 3/16" x 1-1/8"
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Sterling silver with enamel, brass backing.
Single screw post with disc backing.
This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay07/16/19 VAJX11 LFGEX11/11
7 (Very Fine): The pin shows some moderate wear and tarnish; all enamel is intact.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
