Description
This is an extremely rare World War II USAAF 570th Bomb Squad, 390th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force jacket patch. This patch is silk screened on a vinylized canvas. It is likely that this patch was produced in the UK where the squadron was stationed. On the reverse of the patch is the name of a 571st Bomb Squad Pilot, Captain John W. Bone (of the sister squadron), who was Killed in Action on the 14th of January, 194The patch was removed from a flight jacket and was most likely was in a scrapbook at one point, due to three remnants of where it has been taped.
