ARTIFACT: Extremely rare WWII United States Army Paratrooper badge by Norsid. The paratrooper badge is sterling silver and shows two wings furled tightly about a balloon. Norsid was notorious for having stress cracks and other issues with their insignia. Faulty dies, or faulty materials, I am not sure. This example was made with an extremely worn die stamp, otherwise near mint condition.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in length x 7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: "NORSID CO. N. Y."

CONDITION: 9+ (Near Mint-): The wing is in near mint condition, but was made with an extremely worn die stamp, overall handsome patina.
