This is an Extremely Rare World War II circa 1944 United States Navy Aircraft Carrier CV-38 USS Shangri-La Division Police Petty Officer Badge.
The USS Shangri-La (CV-38) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier that served in World War II and the Vietnam War. The ship was named after the mythical Shangri-La and was commissioned in 1944.
VINTAGE:
World War II, circa 1944.
SIZE:Approximately: 2-3/4" in height x 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel plated nickel with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
