ARTIFACT: This is an Extremely Rare World War II circa 1944 United States Navy Aircraft Carrier CV-38 USS Shangri-La Division Police Petty Officer Badge.

The USS Shangri-La (CV-38) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier that served in World War II and the Vietnam War. The ship was named after the mythical Shangri-La and was commissioned in 1944. 

VINTAGE: World War II, circa 1944.

SIZE: Approximately: 2-3/4" in height x 2-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N/A.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear especially to the front, overall, it is in very fine condition.
