Ext. Rare WWI USN Officer Aiguillette for an Aide to a Vice Admiral for Service Dress

Extremely rare WWI United States Naval Officer Aiguillette for an aide to a Vice Admiral for Service Dress, also to assist the Secretary of the Navy. Three joined aiguillette cords, approximately 1/5 inch in diameter, with a cord of yellow cotton, covered with gilt plaited thread.

Circa WWI

Approximately 11 ½ from top of shoulder to bottom of aiguillette and 1" wide.

Gilt plaited thread, cotton.

Horizontal pin with come under catch.

8+ (Excellent): Aiguillette is in excellent condition showing only some wear, the gilt thread details are bright.
