This is a beautiful, completely handmade 1920's USAS United States Air Service Pilot Wing made in 900 Silver in the city of Chiclayo Peru.
The US Air Mission to Peru began in 1924, and this gorgeous wing was no doubt commissioned by one of the early USAS Pilots of that Mission, as a souvenir to bring home to his wife, as MY WIFE is nicely scratched into the back of the wing. Sadly, we do not know who the Pilot was who commissioned this unique Wing almost a century ago.
