Description
This is an Extremely Rare circa 1927 - 1932 Washington Highway Patrol Badge # 390 in unmarked Sterling Silver, which was later modified in 1933 to a Washington State Patrol Badge.
This badge was manufactured in unmarked sterling silver, x000D with hard fired black enamel, sometime between 1927 and 193It originally x000D read WASHINGTON HIGHWAY PATROL and in 1933, when the Department was x000D Reorganized, a sterling silver Ring with the words STATE PATROL in hard fired x000D enamel was added around the central seal. The badge was Probably used for at x000D least a short while after 1933, but given the exceptional condition, it was not x000D worn for too long.

except that it is made in one piece, without the added ring.

SIZE:Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 2-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, hard fired black enamel, Nickel findings with brass hinge pin.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
