This is a rare circa 1860,s Concord Railroad Police badge. Originating in Concord, New Hampshire, this line CRR eventually grew to be called Boston, Concord, and Montreal Railroad, B,C,& M.RR, but it never actually reached Montreal. The hand stamped and hand engraved badge was manufactured by Twitchell & Blodgett of Boston, Massachusetts.
VINTAGE:Circa 1860's.
SIZE:About 1-5/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with a C catch.
MARKINGS:TWITCHELL & BLODGETT BOSTON.
