ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II United States Navy son-in-service badge in the shape of a Chief Petty Officer hat badge. It is in silver-plated and gilt brass. The badge is a large anchor bearing the letters USN and an enameled bar with a single star at center. The badge has the Amcraft snowflake pattern on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" tall and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt and silver-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII USN son-in-service collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX14 LFEX6/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin has some light wear only.
