Early WWII USAAF Issue "Graduation" Pilot Wing with Scratched Pilot and Sweetheart Initials

Description
This is a classic early World War II United States Army Air Forces issue "graduation" pilot wing. The wing is in sterling silver and shows a striped crest at its center. There are initials scratched on the wing's reverse, presumably those of the new pilot and his sweetheart (G.G.-W.J.), to whom the wing was probably presented.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" height and 3-1/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING and G.G.-W.J.
