ARTIFACT: This is an early 20th century Maori Patu fighting club. It's carved very intricately from an indigenous wood. It has some great edges on it! The word patu in Maori means to strike, hit, beat, or subdue, and such was used as a bludgeoning weapon.

VINTAGE: Early 20th Century

SIZE: About 13-3/8" x 4-3/8" x 1"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wood

ATTACHMENT: None

MARKINGS: None

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Indigenous Culture collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VABX11 LEGEX4/17

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): There is a gash on the top of one side, but the edges and the hand-carved details are amazing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
