ARTIFACT: This is a tea cup and saucer from the early nineteenth century for the Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The club has been around since 1866. The saucer is made in England and stamped on reverse. We also have a Boston Yacht Club serving platter listed from the same period (please see the bottom of this page for information).

VINTAGE: Circa early 1900s.

SIZE: Cup: approximately 2-1/8" in height and 3-11/16" in diameter; saucer: 5-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: China.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: MADE FOR OVINGTON BROS. NEW YORK CHICAGO PAREEK JOHNSON BROS. ENGLAND on saucer; JOHNSTON BROS. ENGLAND on cup.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a nautical collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX12 LFEX1/12 SFEX2/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The cup has very little wear; the saucer has some light crazing but no stains, cracks or chips.
