This is an Old Brass Mining Tag From Inspiration, Arizona now Part of Miami, Arizona.
The rich Inspiration copper mine opened in 191Inspiration had its start as a copper-mining settlement. According to tradition, the area was so named when a local prospector dreamed of finding a mine, and his dream came true. A post office called Inspiration was established in 1917, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1983.
VINTAGE:
1910's - 1920's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height x 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped brass.
