ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1910's - 1920's Inspiration Smelting & Refining Co Brass Miner Tag Inspiration AZ Now Miami AZ.
The rich Inspiration copper mine opened in 1911. It was promoted by Boyce Thompson, who owned the nearby Magma mine in Superior, Arizona. The mine is currently operated by Freeport-McMoran, who renamed it the Miami mine.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1910s - 1920s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-5/8" in height x 1-3/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Stamped Brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:
To be used as a fob to check tools in and out.
