Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early 1970's Sheriff Department uniform patch for Cochise County, Arizona, the county seat of which is Bisbee. Cochise was an Apache chief who resisted white advances into his homeland. The patch is shaped like an arrowhead and has an embroidered "Indian" head and shoulders facing to the left.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1970's.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-3/4" in height and 2-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto uniform.

7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light wear with some discoloration to the reverse only.
