ARTIFACT:

This is an early 1950s jacket patch for the United States Air Force Western Air Defense Force (WADF) Team Alpha. The patch is shaped like a pennant and reads WADF A embroidered upon blue twill.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.
