Description

ARTIFACT:

This a circa early 1950s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 77th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, also known as "The Gamblers". The 77th flew F-84s at the time this patch was worn. They were redesignated as the 77th tactical Fighter Squadron in 195This patch is made of embroidered twill and shows a hand of playing cards containing four sevens and an ace.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-3/4" in height and 4-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.
