ARTIFACT: This is a submarine patch for the United States Navy Reserve's USS Kingfish SS-234 Submarine Division 1-41. The patch dates back to the when the Kingfish was tied up in Providence, R.I. at the submarine reserve unit. It shows a crowned fish riding a submarine and reads USNR SUBMARINE DIV 1-91 USS KINGFISH.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1950s.

SIZE: 4-3/4" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Blue canvas patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with a muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.
