This is a circa Korean War era, early 1950's, US Navy VS-27 (Sea Control Squadron 27) jacket patch. The patch shows a Pelican with a submarine in its beak.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950's, Korean War period.
SIZE:About 4-1/8 in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton/silk embroidery thread on twill.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
MARKINGS:None.
