This is a circa early 1900s or 1910s licensed chauffeur badge for Medford, Massachusetts. The oval badge is by S. M. Spencer Manufacturing Company of Boston and is numbered 83.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1900s - 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 2-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin, rectangular saddle.
MARKINGS:S.M. SPENCER BOSTON (MFG. CO. and MASS. worn away).
