ARTIFACT: This is a very early Massachusetts professional chauffeur license badge numbered A9642. The badge is round with a finely notched border and lettering painted in black.

VINTAGE: Circa 1906. A special thanks to Stewart Berg, Massachusetts license plate historian for clarifying the vintage on this and our other early Massachusetts Chauffeur badges.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some light to medium wear and all painted lettering is intact.
