Description
This is a large circa early 1890s horse racing track official badge for Monmouth Park Association. Monmouth Park opened its doors in 1870 in Long Branch, New Jersey. The track was popular but operated only a little over two decades before New Jersey cracked down on betting in the state. In 1946 legislation changed, and the park reopened. The badge has some finely engraved details and a number "66" applied at its center. It is by C.G.
