ARTIFACT: This is a December 1945 copy of the "United States Marine Corps Headquarters Bulletin" (No. 242). The book has several pages of medal citations and many black and white photographs of the receipients. The back cover is a tribute to 1st Lieutenant William D. Hawkins, Scout-Sniper unit leader, who was killed in action at Tarawa after having been wounded and offered a chance to evacuate.

VINTAGE: Published December 1945.

SIZE: 48 pages including photographs and illustrations. Approximately 10-1/2" in height and 8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.
