December 1945 United States Marine Corps Headquarters Bulletin No. 242

This is a December 1945 copy of the "United States Marine Corps Headquarters Bulletin" (No. 242). The book has several pages of medal citations and many black and white photographs of the receipients. The back cover is a tribute to 1st Lieutenant William D. Hawkins, Scout-Sniper unit leader, who was killed in action at Tarawa after having been wounded and offered a chance to evacuate.
