This is an English-made United States 8th Air Force patch from the D-Day period. The bright blue patch shows a winged golden number eight with a red and white star.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-9/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX08 LDEX1/11 SDJX07/21
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch is in very nice condition with light wear and some very small spots of missing felt on its reverse only.
