Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a cool old circa 1960s Kittery, Maine Assistant Chief of Police wallet badge. Kittery is a small town on the Piscataqua River just over the bridge from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The two towns have battled for ages over which one is the true home to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The badge was made by Donald Lavigne Inc. of Miami, Florida.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

Donald Lavigne Inc. Miami, Florida.
