This is an extremely cool World War II submarine letter opener made at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Portsmouth, New Hampshire/Kittery, Maine). The opener is nearly three-dimensional and is in brass except for a Monel periscope.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3/8" in thickness, 7/8" in width (at blade) and 7-3/4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, Monel.
