ARTIFACT: Cool 1943 What's That Plane: How to Identify American and Jap Airplanes by Walter Pitkin, Jr., a Penguin Book printed for the Infantry Journal. The soft cover of the Second Edition printing shows a group of Republic "Thunderbolts" (P-47's) in flight. The book contains dozens of images of aircraft combined with spotting tips and identification points. The front cover reads: "AN INFANTRY JOURNAL ??? PENGUIN SPECIAL WHAT'S THAT PLANE HOW TO IDENTIFY AMERICAN AND JAP AIRPLANES ENLARGED SECOND EDITION NEW YORK WASHINGTON"

VINTAGE: Circa March 1, 1943

SIZE: Approximately 7" x 4-1/4"
